Tw200 clarke tank
Oct 25, 2015 · I was wondering if anyone else here has installed a Clarke gas tank (XT225) on a 2015 TW, and if so, if it was a good fit. I read in other posts that some year models were perfect fits, some not so great. Most sites to order from say the tank is compatible with all year models, but one site... Even though I had just nearly double the stock Yamaha TW200’s fuel capacity from 1.8 gallons to 2.7-gallons with the Clarke 2.7-gallon tank! And yet…. Yes, I ran out of fuel! But Anza Borrego is HUGE! And my last fuel stop was way back in Warner Springs, 70’ish miles by paved road back. Luckily I had the Rotopax 1-gallon spare tank of fuel!

The absolute best, most solid mount is, of course, the most expensive. If you want to do it one-and-done, this is the way to go. If you have a garage queen, then zip ties work fine, but for REAL riders off road, get a stout mount. ….

Oct 29, 2016. Oddometer: 2,509. Whats weird for acerbis is they use self tappers to mount the fuel tap whereas IMS uses brass threads inside the tank.
