Late game, pure battleships with titans melt AI ships, so no use balancing ratios. Oh, and PD is useless, don't use them, strike craft is better. doesnt matter what the ratio is, as long as you dont use destroyers or cruisers your going to win. That is actually not accurate, or at least not in the way you mean. Stellaris has almost always had a rock/paper/scissors. The mixed alpha strike/carrier build lost to pure alpha strike which in turn was killed by corvettes. The "meta" was declared the first one though because people are a combination of dumb and lazy.And definetly don't be lazy by having your ships all try to be 'jack of all trades' ships, like what the AI does. Ignore Montau's old tierlist of ship parts and advice on ships, that doesn't apply anymore. The meta of now is building your ships around the fleet, not building your fleet around your ships like it was in the past. As is the case with many games with multiple types of ships, there is usually a kind of rock-paper-scissors meta in which one kind of ship beats the second one, but then gets beaten by the third one and so on.
