Ask for a task, giving the tools is done via three quests for each technician. you can give him only once, then you can give him advanced and expert tools. Couple tips: 1.giving all 3 tool types via quests not only gives you money, but unlocks a achievment that icreases your repair efficiency permanently. 2.Expert tools are a rare and useful item in the mod Call of Chernobyl that can be used to upgrade weapons and suits. Gamma's weapon, armor and progression systems are the core of what makes gamma good imo. GAMMA is large collection of mods, not a single mod... so that makes it different than "just any other freeplay mod". So it is probably most extensivelly modified stalker to date.
