This is 100% not true - Sophia courses can absolutely be used to cover gen Ed’s and are still accepted. Your son can still take courses thru Sophia to cover his gen Ed’s! However because of the “new” gen Ed’s, the courses may just fall differently than they used to. I’m not sure why advisors are telling students this.
