I've got a Russian 1953 SKS-45 that was bought by my Dad in 1994 as an unissued piece. He has since passed and I inherited the SKS. I'm hoping I could get some responses on the value it. I have been told it is a refurb after some internet investigating on my part so essentially my Dad didn't get what he thought was an unissued SKS.Like was said earlier the Triangle code indicates the original customer was the Chinese military. Oval or Square codes mean export models. On a historical note the Chinese were heavily involved in Vietnam and invaded Vietnam in Feburary of 1979.
