I aim for ~90 matk on most builds there is no top limit higher is always better, 55 matk on tanks to avoid enemies leaving ZoC. 30+ mdef on all melee is good, tanks at least 40, there is no upper limit for mdef since it is the most valuable stat for any melee in my opinion.
