Aldori Swordlord gets an ability that lets them reduce the hit penalty from CE. But it also works with Fighting Defensively, so even they are better off going for Defensive Fighting with Crane Style. If there's a touch attack (melee or ranged) involved you should be able to use defensive fighting on that, and a magus should be able to use fighting defensively with any spell combat.
