well, if you want melt everything maybe magic its not the best choise, a ninjutsu build will be better becose your damage output will be better but ofcourse you will be oneshot. magic its more for a support build (personally i think its even better becose its more versatile) but your damage output will be less, but thank to you your team will ...And yes - bomb damage is affected by ninjutsu power. The other thing is: Bomb damage (inheritable from gloves) affects the physical damage of all bomb types. Thrown weapon damage should affect both physical and fire damages, but as I haven't seen a test of it it may only affect physical.

Such as using melee weapons, yokai skills, guardian spirit talismans, or dipping your toes into onmyo magic. Oof. You should maybe try other weapon that has dex as their secondary scaling then. The difference is not that big before reaching maybe around 60 or 80 on the stat but you can always remodel the scaling later.
