Yes. I have them on my Jetta. They're decent in the snow and pretty quiet for a snow tire. My only complaint with them is that they're not as good at accelerating in the snow as I expected them to be. GREAT braking performance though. However, I have 17's on my Jetta so that could be why the acceleration performance is lacking.the prius gets 50mpg on gas. The TDI gets 40mpg on diesel. So, your opportunity cost is $600 per year.My new Jetta 6mt with the 1.4t can get over 50mpg if kept under 65mph. I wouldn't be surprised if the 1.5t can do the same at over 70 mph. Here's the car showing 49mpg at 68mph average. Trip was started on full tank and refuel showed 3.33 gallons to fill back to max so closer to 48mpg but still impressive. Can't comment on how the TRD upgrades have affected the Camry but the GLI drives great for an enthusiast leaning daily driver. The GLI is much more performance oriented then the Camry. Go drive them and see what you like best. I'd go with the Jetta. Plus the transmission is awesome.Nope. Regular maintenance like a full synthetic oil change should only run you less than $100 every 7-10K miles. Other services could be a transmission flush of a few hundred dollars every 40-50K miles.
