S&W 41 reassembly problem. Just got me a new toy.. and I watched a youtube vid on how to field strip. Pretty straight forward I thought... however after I put the gun back together, there is a gap between the slide and the barrel under the rear sight. From the outset the magazine release could not be pressed in order to release the magazine, no matter how hard it was pressed. I called Glock in Smyrna and talked to one of their technicians.5406 is correct. GLOCK Trigger Housing w/Ejector, Gen 4 | Brownells the PF45 uses the #5406 because it is actually a 'Slim Frame' and this was a good decision by p80. The new takedown spring is annoying when installing a gen3 lasermax guiderod. You gotta cut a notch in the polymer for the red tab on your lasermax.

The problem with conversion barrels on a G21 or 41 slide is that the 45 ACP slide has a larger breech face and the extractors don't line up and don't get a secure purchase on the smaller 10mm rim.
