New Cruze owner here; just traded in my '07 Cobalt (I'll miss that car...) for the '17 Cruze LT. The car is not even 150 miles old and had a malfunction of the auto stop/start feature. At a red light and the auto stop engaged. When I lifted off brake and went to accelerate, engine did not restart. So I basically stalled there at the intersection.There were a couple updates for the auto stop voltage regulation system - they were a service update not a recall. Rarely, it will stop in traffic when waiting at a red light, but 99% of the time when coming out of a parking spot. It will also bounce and/or rock when stopped in drive. The 2014 Chevy Malibu offers a technology feature known as Auto Stop Disable. This function allows drivers to turn off the engine when the car is stopped, saving fuel and reducing emissions. The system works by sensing when the brake pedal has been pressed for more than three seconds and automatically turns off the engine. The most common source of ECM failure is in one of the wiring harnesses. If the wires to the transmission or fuel injectors become corroded, they can lose conductivity, leading to a failure. Fortunately, these issues can usually be resolved by replacing the corroded wires. If one of the wires shorts out to the frame, the ECM may fail entirely.Ok. Just had a customer with the same issue. Code p305f both batteries are new. Radio shut off once the vehicle restarted on start/stop. The fix is the 175 amp mega fuse that’s located on the fuse block above the positive terminal of the main battery. Replaced fuse for $7 dollars and problem is solved. Reply.
